The Ontario Exporters Fund (OEF) is administered by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) and funded by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. It provides small and medium enterprises in Ontario with a non-repayable contribution towards the salary costs of hiring an experienced export manager.
Eligible companies are those with between 5 and 500 employees which are currently established and operating in Ontario, have between $3 million and $20 million in sales, and have export sales worth between 10% and 50% of annual sales. Companies must also be in one of the following industries: advanced manufacturing, aerospace, building products and construction, clean technology, exportable professional services, information and communication technology, or life sciences.
Funding is worth 50% of the salary costs associated with hiring an experienced export manager, up to either $80,000 or 24 months worth of salary costs.
